36TH EDITION OF THE HANDICRAFT EXHIBITION… OLD TRADES, TODAY TRENDS

From the 22nd to the 31st of March, the National Office of Handicrafts will organize, under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts, the 36th edition of the Handicraft Exhibition under the sign « Trades of yesteryear, trends today « .

Created in 1982, the Handicraft Exhibition is considered one of the most important national events in the craft sector and ONAT is a tool for the development and promotion of the sector at the national level. creativity, productivity and marketing. The Salon also represents a means of preserving the national heritage, the collective memory and a means of connection between the generations.

In addition, the Salon is an annual opportunity to bring together artisans, artisans and young promoters as well as all stakeholders in the sector to expose the product of an entire year of research and creation in order to promote the Tunisian handicraft product.

For ten days, around 1500 craftsmen from the 24 governorates will take part in this show and in its various spaces to present their novelties to a public of professionals and aesthetes who will be amazed by the wealth of products made in handmade by Tunisian artisans and designers.

On an exhibition area of ​​25000m², this show is an opportunity to probe the latest trends and novelties as well as tableware, carpets and weavings, interior and exterior decoration items, clothing and accessories. fashion handmade often heirs of ancestral know-how.

The exhibition spaces are renewed from one year to the next: between the Olympiad space of the mosaic, the creative competitions dedicated to the crafts of the art of the Table that the gift items and the students of the schools of the arts and crafts, the space of young promoters, the space of inspiration « Pottery modeled », the space Gouvernorats of the interior putting forward 14 regions.

Faithful to its international vocation, Salon 2019 welcomes Morocco and Algeria as a guest of honor, a great opportunity for the public and professionals to share the jewels of Moroccan and Algerian craftsmanship.
